Can the SAVED blaspheme the Holy Spirit

Luke 12:10
“And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who BLASPHEMES against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven."
This is a scary verse for those of us who are saved. The reason is because for most of us, when we got saved, we rejoiced to know that we were forgiven our sins and had eternal life; it's why we got saved. We wanted to be saved from our sins. When we heard that there was forgiveness for all the sin in our lives and we could be free from it, relief flooded us. Then we read this and feel like we were swindled; like it was too good to be true and of course - there's the loop hole

What I thought was eternal -lasting forever/having not an end- life was really just a trick. I thought I could be saved from my sin but apparently there is a way for my sin to overcome the work of the cross. If my sin can just get me to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, then all bets are off. If I blaspheme the Holy Spirit Then I will never have forgiveness. The enemy has the ultimate trump card. I am born under his dominion and if I escape it, there is always the chance that he can get me back and then it's final with no escape.

Question:
Why is it that we believe Jesus' words when He says 'never' in relation to not having forgiveness but not when He says it about having a forgiveness that cannot be lost?

Observe:
John 10:28
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall NEVER perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
Mark 3:29
"But he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit NEVER has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation."
Jesus said that when He gives eternal life to someone, they will NEVER parish. Does that mean that you can parish if there is a loop hole? If there is a loop hole then Jesus used the wrong word. He should've said, "most likely". But when He says, "never have forgiveness" we respond, "YEP! That's what He said. Whoever does that is in a state of no forgiveness that is impossible to escape, without even the slightest chance or glimmer of hope of ever attaining salvation... end of story. You can pack your bags and go home now. No refund. Do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars. I won't even listen to you if you try and and argue with me cause you're stupid. Apparently you don't know the meaning of the word never".

Well, apparently, we humans don't have to be stupid to not understand the meaning of the word 'never' cause I know several smart people who are missing the meaning of that word in John 10:28. The reason for this is because there is no one resisting the meaning of 'never' in Mark 3:29. It is advantageous for the enemy to promote it but it is not for the other verse; so, the enemy resists it. He tries to convince us that we can parish because it serves his goal and he even uses scripture to do it. Remember the temptation of Christ?

Matthew 4:5-7

"Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:
'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and
'In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’
Jesus said to him, "It is written again:
'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.'""
Or what about in the garden?
Genesis 3:1
"Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of EVERY tree of the garden’?”
We must know that the enemy twists scriptures to trick us. And in the garden the serpent does it by attacking the absolute 'every'. He casts doubt over the finality of the absolute concept. This is exactly what he is doing with 'never' in John 10:28. He attacks the absolute and then uses another scripture to back up his attack.

So let us figure out what happens when we let both 'never's mean the same thing. I think we have the meaning of "never has forgiveness". It is impossible for those who do this to ever be forgiven. Now for the other: It is impossible for those who have been given eternal life to ever parish. Under any circumstances, they will never parish. When we let both these verses mean what they say, we see a picture of mutual exclusivity.

If I blaspheme the Holy Spirit I can never gain salvation but if I gain salvation I can never be damned or condemned; ergo, since the one who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will absolutely be damned, then the one who has salvation absolutely cannot blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Otherwise one of these verses would be incorrect.

That answers the question: Can the redeemed one, who has been given eternal life, blaspheme the Holy Spirit and lose their salvation?

  • -NO-

So, what is it then? If only the not-saved-yet can do it, what can we do to keep them from it?

  • -THAT IS WHAT THE NEXT BLOG IS ABOUT-

You are blessed and loved.
